Passage is a spotlight connecting architecture and light. It’s understated yet distinctly present in a space. The hinge is the defining element of the composition, and connects the two cylindrical volumes. It creates a literal passage within the object, but the product itself also becomes a passage of light, a passage in space, a passage through time.
The design is reduced to the essential, where every detail is considered to keep the focus on the composition. Visually it feels effortless, almost inevitable, but technically it’s very complex. The same design of the fixture can be used on the ceiling, wall and track, making it a versatile solution that can belong to spaces in many different ways.
